The Springboard to Work
project could help you!

Welcome to Springboard to Work

Springboard to Work is a FREE service for people living in the Norwich and North Norfolk area who are currently looking for work.

We can offer you 9 hours of training as well as lots of ongoing support to get you into a job and help you through the first 3 months of work. We have links to local employers and all the resources you need to help you on your journey to employment.

Springboard to Work

Springboard to Work is designed to help you get a job. It gives you 9 hours of non-accredited training in employability skills and personal development - all aimed at making you irresistible to local employers!
We can also help you with accredited learning, match-make your skills to a local employer, and provide ongoing support while you're looking for a job and when you're in the first 3 months of your new job. Springboard also gives you 1-1 advice and guidance, mentoring, group support, help with your CV - in fact everything you need to get into work.

The Springboard course
The course is 3 x 3 hour sessions, held during 1 week, run in child-friendly hours.
On the course you will:
• Meet new people and make friends
• Explore what motivates you and what kind of job you'd like
• Make plans and set goals for your future
• Find out what employers want, and how you can tailor your applications to fit
• Learn about where to look for jobs
• Discover what makes a good / bad application
• Practise interview questions in a friendly, supportive environment
• Find out how to make the best impression you can
• Learn the key aspects of Customer Care
• Have a 1-1 with a recruitment advisor, who will then help you to get a job

Eligibility
Are you:
• Aged 19 or over?
• A UK resident? (minimum 3 years)
• Unemployed, or working not more than 8 hours per week
• Living in the North Norfolk or Norwich area?
• Ready to start a new job within the next 8 weeks?

If you can answer 'yes' to all these questions, you can apply for a place on the Springboard to Work programme.
